There may be some better story tellers, but no one has a better command of the English language. No other SF author I have read writes as well as Clarke. In the SF genre, Clarke is THE Master Craftsman when it comes to writing riveting prose. Clarke, is a delightful feast of mystery, drama and realistic science.
